Self-introduction:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my interest in any available language teaching or tutoring positions within
your institution. I am currently seeking an opportunity to work as a language tutor or teacher,
bringing with me a strong background in personalized instruction and multilingual education.
For over seven years, I have worked as a self-employed tutor, providing private lessons in Italian,
Russian and English. While I have not yet taught in a formal school setting, I have successfully
supported many learners in improving their language skills through customized, one-on-one
instruction. My teaching emphasizes communicative competence, practical usage and building
learner confidence.
To further strengthen my teaching qualifications, I am currently completing a 180-hour TEFL
(Level 4) course. I am eager to apply this training in a supportive educational environment where I
can continue to grow and contribute meaningfully. I am particularly drawn to institutions that value
diverse teaching backgrounds and welcome candidates with tutoring experience as a strong
foundation for classroom success.
In addition to my tutoring work, I have taught language professionally as a Foreign Language
Training Officer for the Department of Defense and more recently provided Business English
instruction in a corporate setting. These roles have equipped me with the ability to adapt teaching
strategies to meet the varied needs of learners across different contexts.
I was born in the United States and hold Italian citizenship. Please find my CV attached. I would be
grateful if you would consider me for any open positions on your language teaching team. I am
confident that my experience, commitment to education and ongoing professional development
make me a strong candidate for your institution.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I look forward to the opportunity to further discuss how I can support your students\' success.
Warm regards,
Joel Osment
